Family Friendly Church in Belfast : Who are ROCK Community Church

We are a family friendly church with something for everyone. So whether you're a young-adult, student or are married with children we have a place for you in our church home and in our hearts. Together we strive to be a relationship focused church like the one described in the New Testament; a church with true and relevant teaching, devoted worship, honest relationships, consistent prayer and compassionate care for those in need.

The Pastors...

Jonathan and Sharon are the Pastors of Rock Community Church. They met and fell in love while at Mattersey Bible College. They have 3 beautiful children, Hannah who is 15, Ruthie who is 14 and handsome Kirk aged 11. The whole family is involved with the church worship team.

Jonathan established Go Kidz in 1994 and was soon running this successful children’s ministry in the Shankill Road area of Belfast. Planting a church was the next step and in 2002 Rock Community Church was birthed.

Since then as well as Pastoring the Church and running Go Kidz Jonathan has channelled his pioneering spirit into a bouncy castle business and recently his own sweet shop (www.dollysretrosweets.com) . Sharon is a the worship co-ordinator and leader of ‘Rock Chicks’ and as well as this she is a busy mum, family support worker and occasional (but very friendly) sweet shop worker.

The Leaders...

Trevor and Jenine Jamison are on the Church leadership team. They are both teachers in local secondary schools and have two gorgeous girls Ryley aged 4 and Darcey aged 2.

Ivan and Kathy Brownlee's romance was forged in the early days of the Go Kidz ministry and they have two little blessings Bradley aged 5 and Kaitlin aged 3. Kathy is a secondary school teacher and Ivan is a social worker.

The Team...

The Church would not function without the group of dedicated people who are involved in the day to day running of things. Whether they are school and youth workers, worship leaders or interns they are vital to the life of Rock Community Church.
